                                  "ART IS FUN - EVEN WHEN LIFE ISN'T!"

Cynthia Chandler lives in Leawood, Kansas. The Interurban Arthouse in Old Overland Park is where her studio is located. It is there that she paints and creates mixed media pieces reflecting subjects that intrigue and delight her.

Cynthia has a B.A.E. from the University of Kansas and an M.F.A. from SMU in Dallas, Texas where she was the first Meadows Fellow. She has worked for Hallmark Cards, served on the Board of Directors at the Arrowmont School of Arts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, taught art at the Los Angeles Childrens Museum and is a member of the Kansas City Artists Coalition.

She has continued her education with workshops at the Scottsdale School of Art, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, The Kansas City Art Institute and most recently with well-known Kansas City artists Philomene Bennett and Patrick Saunders.
